The Sunshine Coast turned on absolutely perfect weather for Julie and Simon's gorgeous wedding day.
Simon and his groomsmen got ready at The Sebel in Maroochydore. The views were breathtaking. The boys were loads of fun. Simon is one very awesome human. Kindness exudes constantly from him through his ever-ready smile.
Julie and her bridesmaids, flower girls and page boy preened themselves at the beautiful rustic Arabella Guesthouse on Buderim. Julie and one half of our photographer duo Jesse, attended senior high school in Nambour together. Julie is still a laugh a minute. She is always laughing, always vibrant and one of the most delightful souls you could hope to meet.
All of the bride and groom's family and friends gathered at AnnaBella Wedding Chapel in Ilkley to watch them wed and make their vows to love, honour and obey each other before God, forever. Simon's reactions and emotions throughout the ceremony were so wonderfully candid and honest and so refreshing to see in a groom. Julie was a picture of absolute class and so ready at all times for a good laugh, which comes so naturally to her.
After the heartfelt ceremony the bride, groom and their bridal party took a walk with us around the lush semi-tropical grounds of AnnaBella Wedding Chapel (this is one of the most STUNNING venues to get married in on the Sunshine Coast or in Brisbane). This group of guys and gals were such a great reflection of the bride and groom - big hearts and always ready to laugh!
Julie and Simon's wedding reception was hosted by Harry's Restaurant on Buderim. The food was DIVINE. There is a reason why Harry's is one of the most loved restaurants on the Sunshine Coast - WOW. There is rustic charm around every corner at Harry's and with no other buildings or houses within a couple hundred metres of it, this is the epitome of privacy and exclusivity to top off your wedding day. The groom, best man, maid of honour and father-of-the-bride speeches were some of the best we've witnessed - full of belly laughs! The bride and groom clearly had the time of their lives.
We look forward to seeing what adventures Julie and Simon find themselves on in this exciting new chapter of their lives.
Big Love special ones X

Peachester Wedding - Wendy & Zak (Brisbane), Sunshine Coast Photographers
Wendy & Zak (Brisbane couple) prepared their super colourful Peachester (Sunshine Coast Hinterland) wedding in just 3 weeks!!!
Zak's grandparents were visiting from Canada for the first time in 7 years. They didn't know when they would be seeing each other again. So they decided to marry while they had all their family in Australia. Although their grandparents did have to change their flights by a few days for the BIG wedding!
Wendy sourced many recycled and upcycled items for wedding decorations and furniture from local stores in Brisbane and on The Sunshine Coast. The finished look of the venue looked simply amazing and represented the vibrant couple perfectly.
The wedding ceremony and reception were all held at the Groom's father's home in beautiful Peachester on The Sunshine Coast (Queensland). This was an amazing venue to host the happy couple's wedding surrounded by stunning views of the Glasshouse Mountains and Australian bushland.
Mikala and I are still amazed and baffled that they assembled this wedding in just 3 weeks!
YAY Wendy and Zak!!
Enjoy...

Mikala and I felt so grateful to be part of the intimate Australian wedding of Lani & Patrick. Only family and a best friend or two were invited to help this genuine, relaxed and completely in love couple celebrate their marriage. I feel so blessed to have known the bride's family for many years. To be able to participate in their beautiful day by photographing all of the special moments for them was an absolute honour.
Our day began photographing Lani (aka stunning Brisbane bride!) in a luxurious apartment between Coolum beach and Point Arkwright on the Sunshine Coast. Whales just happened to be jumping in the ocean directly in front of where Lani was getting her bridal hair and makeup done. As if the day wasn't exciting enough!
The ceremony was held at the divine venue The Rocks in Yandina (an Australian destination wedding gem). Set beside the Maroochy River and a small mountain this is an ideallic and tranquil place to get married and suited the happy couple oh so perfectly.
Emotions ebbed. Tears flowed. The mother of the bride's artistic wedding decorations looked amazing.
A fun-filled, relaxed and intimate ceremony and reception was enjoyed by all the family guests.
Congratulations Lani & Patrick!

This stunning vintage dress was made by the bride's mother and worn with the most extraordinary backdrop of the Glasshouse Mountains in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland.
Torrential rain did not stop this lovely bride enjoying her wedding day and getting the most out of her dress on beautiful Mooloolaba Beach, Sunshine Coast (Queensland).
