Yandina Station (Sunshine Coast) is one of Queensland’s most respected and loved wedding venues, so it was an easy choice for Leisa and Mark to hold their ceremony and reception there. It was an absolutely perfect Yandina day for this fun-loving bride and groom - the sun was out all day and smiles were shining on everyone’s faces.
Leisa and Mark both got ready in separate cottages on the gorgeous Yandina Station property. Everyone in the bridal party was very relaxed during this time when the bridesmaids were getting their makeup on and hair perfected and the groomsmen were drinking beer and figuring out how to attach the corsages to their suit shirts. On a side note, the bridesmaids were drinking beer too!
Naturally the nerves hit when it was time for the groomsmen to gather at the rustic wooden arbour and the bridesmaids to start walking down that, what feels like, ever so long wedding isle. The wedding ceremony itself was full of fun and laughter which reflected perfectly on the nature and relationship of these two awesome humans. The bride and groom both have a great sense of humour which made for not only an enjoyable ceremony but such a fun-filled day where all the wedding guests felt so comfortable to be themselves.
After the wedding ceremony the bride, groom and bridal party came with us, adventuring around the stunning Yandina Station property taking some portraits. Then we took off to some special photography spots just with the now happily married couple to take some artistic wedding photos. Not only was the weather calm and clear but the moon also made a special appearance at just the right time of the day - it was the most epic orange colour!
We ventured back to the Old Dairy and Dairy Barn where the bride and groom were met with a rapturous applause from their friends and family. The night kicked on with plenty of laughs during speeches, a cake cutting, first dance, bouquet toss (epic!), garter toss and some absolutely fantastic and enviable dance moves - even from grandma who owned that dance floor!
We wish you all the love and happiness possible Leisa and Mark!
Big Love,
Jesse & Mikala
Best Drone Wedding Photos of 2018 - Sunshine Coast Destination Aerial Photographers
Our drone has received quite a workout this year at the weddings we’ve photographed across the Sunshine Coast - Noosa, Maleny, Montville, Mapleton, Caloundra, Nambour, Yandina, Valdora, Obi Obi, Maroochydore, Mooloolaba, Kawana, Point Cartwright, Point Arkwright, Coolum, Beerwah and more. But our trusty drone also travelled to Villa Botanica (Airlie Beach, The Whitsundays), Ireland, Portugal, London, Hong Kong and Melbourne.
We want to thank all the brides and grooms, bridesmaids, groomsmen, friends, family and randoms who trusted us as photographers and also who laid down on sand, grass, wood, rocks, pebbles, bridges, piers, boats, roads and dance floors to get THAT shot. We certainly have a lot of fun during the drone wedding and engagement photo sessions but also ironically our brides and grooms often comment that it was the most relaxing part of their wedding day.
Needless to say our trusty sidekick drone is taking some well earned R&R over the Christmas and New Year break.
Please enjoy some of our favourite drone moments captured at some stunning venues and locations around the world featuring some gorgeous newlyweds.
Merry Christmas and a super Happy New Year to you!
Big love,

Yandina Station, Sunshine Coast (Australian) Autumn Wedding - Lisa & Dave
This warm and generous couple hosted their wedding day at the one and only Yandina Station. Lisa and Dave are from a small town called Gayndah, just west of Hervey Bay and Fraser Island and so the country chic feel of Yandina Station suited them perfectly.
They preened and prepared themselves at Coolum Caprice with epic views of Coolum Beach.
The ceremony was outside under the Moreton Bay Fig Tree where they so emotionally said "I do" to each other. The tears could not be held back, especially from Lisa's gorgeous bridesmaids. Emotions ran high when the bride and groom exchanged vows, rings and then sealed the deal with a kiss. The emotions quickly turned into laughter post ceremony with hugs of congratulations and celebration all around.
We explored the grounds with the bridal party for some photographic portraits. Dave and his groomsmen were definitely a highlight when they took hold of the decorative umbrellas that were meant for the bridesmaids - or were they?
The reception rolled on in the old dairy at Yandina Station with new flooring which looks outstanding and was an awesome platform for this happy, humble duo's celebration dinner. The speeches from Lisa and Dave's loved ones were beyond heartwarming. But the dancing... well that's another story. This bunch of Gayndahnians know how to stomp their way around a dance floor. Fun, happy, silly, crazy. None of these words can possibly describe the awesome dancing styles that took place in the old dairy of Yandina Station on Sunday, April 2, 2017. There's no doubt this particular evening will go down in the history books as one of the most epic nights of dancing ever seen at Yandina Station.
We wish you all the love, happiness and everything in between for your lives together Lisa and Dave.
Enjoy...
