2018 has been a MASSIVE year of wedding photography for Mikala and I. We have photographed loads of beautiful weddings around our hood on the Sunshine Coast, from Noosa to Maleny, Montville to Caloundra, Obi Obi to Coolum, Maroochydore to Beerwah, Mooloolaba to Sunshine Beach. We’ve also travelled to Melbourne, Ireland, Portugal, Hong Kong, London, Fraser Island, The Whitsundays (Airlie Beach) photographing destination weddings along the way while exploring the extraordinary globe we live on.
We feel so privileged to have worked with so many gorgeous couples at some absolutely stunning wedding venues including Gabbinbar Homestead (Toowoomba), Villa Botanica (Airlie Beach), Kingfisher Bay Resort (Fraser Island), Noosa Riverdeck (Sunshine Coast), House of Laurels (Maleny), Montville Chapel & Poet’s Gallery and the list goes on and on.
We have an enormous amount of gratitude for the couples who have chosen us to photograph their wedding day and capture those one off moments, never to be repeated, so they can enjoy them for the rest of their lives.
Thank you to all the awesome, now married couples we’ve worked with in 2018 and also a big thank you to the wedding ceremony and reception staff, owners, helpers and guests who have made our year rich in laughter, love and everything in between.
Big Love and we look forward to another wonderful year of wedding photography in 2019!
All the love and happiness in the world to you!

Fraser Island Destination Wedding - Sunshine Coast Photographers - Cherie & Marty
Cherie and Marty chose the one and only Kingfisher Bay Resort (Fraser Island) as the destination for their wedding. This was such a great choice on their part and an absolute pleasure to photograph.
This bride and groom hail from Sydney so they travelled a long way, as did their guests (and us from the Sunshine Coast!) to marry each other on Australia’s and the world’s largest sand island.
In all honesty, Kingfisher Bay Resort on Fraser Island is the venue we have photographed more wedding ceremonies at than any other venue in Australia and we absolutely love it!
This was one very special wedding with loads of tears including one from the groom which we have photographic evidence of (a little hint: it was when his bride was walking down the isle)! We can understand why as Cherie looked absolutely STUNNING!
The ceremony was super lovely and concluded with a sand ceremony. Then we (the bridal party and us photographer folk along with the boys from Trending Media Australia) all explored sunset beach and the surrounding areas taking some gorgeous photos along the way.
This awesome bride and groom chose the “dingo den” to host their reception. This
is a fantastic outdoor venue that is both private, spacious and features a fire pit for toasting those marshmallows. Cherie and Marty supplied all the necessary ingredients for S’mores which caused some very big grins from their guests - great idea! Oh and have a look at the knife they used to cut their cake, or should we say machete? FYI no one was harmed during the cutting of the cake.
The bride and groom’s first dance was quite possibly one of the best ever… in the world. Seriously. This dance was phenomenal and it was a privilege to watch let along photograph. EPIC beyond words.
We wish you all the love and happiness in the world Cherie and Marty!
Enjoy!

Coolum Beach & Point Arkwright (Yaroomba) Wedding - Sam & Jake
Sam and Jake decided to throw an engagement party at Coolum Surf Life Saving Club on The Sunshine Coast. With all the their family and friends gathered they surprised everyone and turned the day into their wedding!
Sam kept peeking over the balcony of her Coolum Caprice apartment but had to be careful no one she knew looked up and saw her wearing a wedding dress.
This was a stealth mission that worked an absolute treat. The Coolum SLSC was a great venue for their wedding with one of the most beautiful beaches in the world as the backdrop for their big day.
After the ceremony on the deck we took the bridal party down the road to Yaroomba Beach, beside Point Arkwright where we had a fun and highly entertaining portrait session. The bridal party were initially dropped in the wrong location, then there was a somewhat failed attempt of the groom popping a champagne cork, plenty of Mary Poppins jump-kicks, thumbs-up dancing and drone antics all within about 25 minutes - the shortest wedding portrait session we've ever had. Boy did we pack a lot in to such a short time.
We wish you all the happiness in the world Sam and Jake!
Enjoy the Coolum magic...

Yaroomba Beach & Little Boat Cafe (Marcoola) Wedding - Hannah & Bo (Denmark)
This gorgeous bride and groom said "I do" on Yaroomba beach beside Point Arkwright on the Sunshine Coast. They flew all the way from Copenhagen, Denmark to join with the bride's massive family including her parents, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, friends and Bo's wonderful Mum.
Hannah and Bo are two of THE most beautiful humans you could hope to meet. They are both so kind, gracious, generous, joyous, loving, spiritual, confident and intelligent. The raw and unabashed joy on both of their faces when they locked eyes with each other after Hannah had walked down the isle was so moving for all guests in attendance. Their connection is undeniably strong and true.
Hannah's amazing Mum did not stop crying with love and joy through the entire ceremony which made both Mikala and I both want to burst into tears numerous times throughout the proceedings. Hannah on the other hand was non-stop smiling with joy plastered across her face the entire ceremony - the entire day actually! To say this ceremony was moving really is an understatement.
After a group shot, some family and bridal party photos we went on a little journey with Hannah and Bo to take some portraits in the town of Valdora where Hannah grew up. The spots we had selected to take the photos at, all contained memories from Hannah's childhood which made for a wonderfully nostalgic photo session.
After a few photos with the drone we headed to Little Boat Cafe in Marcoola for their reception. There were some extremely funny speeches combined with very touching moments and stories about the bride and groom. The bride's eldest sister, Velvet sang a song instead of making a speech. She made the song up completely on the spot. I have personally never heard such a powerful voice in all my life. Simply. Astounding. The night ended in some super dance moves, particularly from Hannah's younger brother Indigo and an epic dance off between the bride and one of her sister's, Amber.
And now Hannah and Bo have hosted their second wedding back in Copenhagen - The celebrations continue and deservedly so for this dynamic duo!
We wish you a life filled to the brim with love Hannah and Bo!!
See you in Copenhagen :)
Enjoy...
