Cherie and Marty chose the one and only Kingfisher Bay Resort (Fraser Island) as the destination for their wedding. This was such a great choice on their part and an absolute pleasure to photograph.
This bride and groom hail from Sydney so they travelled a long way, as did their guests (and us from the Sunshine Coast!) to marry each other on Australia’s and the world’s largest sand island.
In all honesty, Kingfisher Bay Resort on Fraser Island is the venue we have photographed more wedding ceremonies at than any other venue in Australia and we absolutely love it!
This was one very special wedding with loads of tears including one from the groom which we have photographic evidence of (a little hint: it was when his bride was walking down the isle)! We can understand why as Cherie looked absolutely STUNNING!
The ceremony was super lovely and concluded with a sand ceremony. Then we (the bridal party and us photographer folk along with the boys from Trending Media Australia) all explored sunset beach and the surrounding areas taking some gorgeous photos along the way.
This awesome bride and groom chose the “dingo den” to host their reception. This
is a fantastic outdoor venue that is both private, spacious and features a fire pit for toasting those marshmallows. Cherie and Marty supplied all the necessary ingredients for S’mores which caused some very big grins from their guests - great idea! Oh and have a look at the knife they used to cut their cake, or should we say machete? FYI no one was harmed during the cutting of the cake.
The bride and groom’s first dance was quite possibly one of the best ever… in the world. Seriously. This dance was phenomenal and it was a privilege to watch let along photograph. EPIC beyond words.
We wish you all the love and happiness in the world Cherie and Marty!
Enjoy!

Ocean View Estates Wedding - Sunshine Coast, Australia - Emily & Nathan
This bride and groom are used to wide open spaces in the country so it's only fitting they chose Ocean View Estates (Mount mee) just north of The Sunshine Coast. Ocean View Estates is one seriously stunning wedding venue with beautiful views and absolutely delicious, gourmet food.
Emily and Nathan are such a kind, warm and generous couple from the country. There were some great country touches to their wedding like the bride and bridesmaid's boots and socks and the groom's hat.
Even though there was rain over their wedding ceremony, Emily and Nathan had the greatest time celebrating their love. Their smiles did not stop throughout the day. It seemed to help that all their major celebrations over the past few years were rained out so they were kind of expecting a decent fall on their wedding day!
We still got to explore Ocean View Estates and take some gorgous photos of the happy couple and their bridal party despite the rain.
The party kicked on in the stunning, huge reception building with over 100 of Emily and Nathan's family and friends. There were a tonne of laughs with a few tears as well as some shocking secrets revealed during the speeches by the bride's sister!
This awesome pair really made the most of their day and had the time of their life together and with their loved ones.
We wish you all the love in the world Emily and Nathan!

Flaxton Gardens - Sunshine Coast, Australian Wedding - Diana & Jason
Diana & Jason's wedding day was held at one of the Sunshine Coast's absolute best venues, Flaxton Gardens. The bride and groom both got ready on different floors of stunning Flaxton Manor - A luxurious way to start their day!
There was some lingering rain so the bride and groom along with the Flaxton Gardens Staff decide to hold their ceremony indoors. You really can't go wrong at Flaxton Gardens if you have your wedding ceremony inside or outside as they are both gorgeous options. The ceremony was so beautiful with watery eyes in their crowd of family and friends as well as tears filling the bride's eyes.
Diana and Jason were such a pleasure to photograph after the ceremony and family photos. This happy couple are so relaxed, good-humoured and always have an air of go-with-the-flow about them. They're a perfect match for eachother and this shone though during the entire wedding day and while we photographed their bridal party and couple portraits around the grounds of Flaxton Gardens.
We later migrated to the reception hall's epic ceilings filled with gourmet food and loads of laughter during the speeches. There were also a few moments to photograph a few extra special moments between the married couple amongst the rows of lights and a moody, magical fog.
This was one very enchanted day and we wish Diana and Jason all the love and happiness in the world!
Enjoy...

OUTRIGGER, CORAL COAST, FIJI WEDDING - Emma & Dylan - SUNSHINE COAST PHOTOGRAPHER
Emma and Dylan chose paradise for their wedding at The Outrigger on the Coral Coast in Fiji. They were joined in Fiji by their tribe of awesomes who hail from the Sunshine Coast, Australia and beyond.
This bride and groom's wedding day was so full of fun from getting ready to dancing at the reception. Both Emma and her bridesmaids along with Dylan and his groomsmen were set for the most fun and meaningful day of their lives - and that's exactly what they had. The party started as soon as they awoke on the morning of the first day of October - their wedding day. The fact that they were in Fiji multiplied the celebratory mood for their wedding in paradise.
The Outrigger in Fiji was a great venue for their wedding day as they were surrounded by the relaxed and super friendly staff who were always willing to help where possible.
The bride and groom both could not hold back their tears as Emma walked down the isle with her Dad. The emotional outpouring was off-the-charts beautiful!
Their beach wedding ceremony was so gorgeous with turquoise ocean in front of them and palm trees behind them. The splashes of native Fijian flowers on bamboo structures were stunning too and added to their authentic wedding day in Fiji.
After the wedding ceremony on the Outrigger Fiji beach we took the golf buggies up to the hills which were a completely different feel to the ceremony. There were epic beach views on one side and rolling green hills on the other - spectacular and so perfect for bridal party portraits. Then we headed back down the hill to the beach for sunset photos with the bridal party followed by just the bride and groom.
The reception then kicked on with a traditional Fijian dinner and dessert buffet which we got to partake in - AHH-MAZING. The speeches were equal parts hilarious and tear-inducing. After the speeches the dancing (& singing!) began and was literally some of the most energetic moves and vocals we have ever seen at a wedding (& we've been to a few!). Major props to the groom's sister Jess for getting the guests shaking, moving, grooving and singing their lungs out.
The following day we joined the bride and groom for a beach trash the dress session which you will find on our blog very soon - stay tuned.
We want to say a big thank you to Emma and Dylan who took us over to Fiji in their suitcase so we could photograph the most special day of the lives. We loved every minute of it!
We wish you both all the love and happiness in the world!!!
Enjoy...
