Lana and Drew’s wedding was at the Luxurious Sunshine Coast boating venue, Pier 33 and what an amazing day it was.
This awesome bride and groom spent the getting ready part of their wedding day in the same house (Mooloolaba, Sunshine Coast) but different sections of it so they didn’t see each other before the ceremony. The house was an architect and art lover’s dream featuring a light-filled loft, a magazine cover worthy pool and a beautiful piece of art by Jai Vasicek.
Drew and his groomsmen enjoyed a very cruisy pre-ceremony together with some beers and plenty of laughs.
Lana and her bridesmaids barely stopped laughing the entire time we were there documenting their getting ready events. The champagne was flowing, spirits were high and good vibes inevitable in anticipation of the impending wedding.
The bride and her tribe we transported to the wedding venue in a close friend’s boat along the Mooloolaba River to Pier 33. When the boat arrived, all the wedding guests were asked to turn the opposite way to the bride so no one saw her before walking down the isle. This was so well orchestrated by Danielle, the celebrant.
It was a beautiful moment when Lana walked down her wedding isle towards her groom looking absolutely stunning! The ceremony was so lovely and naturally for this couple, full of loads of smiles and laughter. Their love, undeniable.
Post wedding we whisked the bride and groom and their bridal party down to the docks for some shots amongst the boats. Meanwhile, I (Jesse) nearly lost my drone due to the gale force winds that suddenly appeared!
We then headed down to the beach where the wind was furious but the happiness and lightheartedness of the bride, groom and their bridal party rose well above the weather conditions. Oh and do take note of Drew, the groom, literally chopping of the top of a champagne bottle with a knife!
The bride and groom enjoyed a rapturous reception entrance into Pier 33 by their family and friends. There were speeches throughout the night that were a-laugh-a-second along with not just gourmet but SERIOUSLY gourmet food by the Pier 33 chefs. Drew also wanted a magician at his wedding so that’s what he got - Nickleby. He was such a major highlight of this wedding reception. The guests were in stiches as well as in complete disbelief at the tricks Nickleby was performing. Highly recommend him!
To round the night off there was a cutting of the cake, first dance then some dancefloor shenanigans.
What a day and what a night for these two fantastic humans!
Congratulations again Lana and Drew, we wish you all the love, laughter and happiness in the world!
Enjoy…

Gunabul Homestead, Gympie Wedding - Sunshine Coast Photographers - Clare & Nathan
Clare and Nathan married at the gorgeous Gunabul Homestead in Gympie (1 hour north of the Sunshine Coast) on one of the most stunning days of the year and on a very memorable date - 20-02-20. You should be able to remember that one Nathan!
This awesome bride and groom had the sun shining on them the entire day. This perfectly matched the sunflower theme for their beautiful wedding.
Clare and Nathan were surrounded by their friends and family from near and far at their very special wedding ceremony held under the spectacularly giant tree beside Gunabul Homestead. This was a wonderfully relaxed ceremony marked by a unique ritual of passing the bride and groom’s wedding rings between the hands of all of their guests. After the newly wed couple’s romantic kiss and a perfect registry signing setup the bride and groom were hugged, kissed and congratulated by all of their loved ones.
Post family photos, we took the bride, groom and their lovely bridal party to a rustic railway station for some portrait photos. After the sunset we journeyed back to Gunabul Homestead for some night portraits before the bridal party entered the reception.
Gunabul Homestead delivered some delicious food for all of the wedding guests. There were some great speeches by the bride and groom’s nearest and dearest family. The bride’s sister and the bride could not look at each other as both knew if they did they would burst into tears simultaneously. Now that’s sisterly love at it’s finest!
Clare and Nathan then had an epic donut infused cake to cut - so much donutty goodness! The newly weds first dance was just lovely and then everyone made the rounds dancing with each other and having a super fun night together.
Congratulations Clare and Nathan on your marriage!
We wish you all the love, happiness and health in the world!
Enjoy…

Point Cartwright, Mooloolaba Wedding - Sunshine Coast, Australian Photographers - Ellie & Nick
Ellie and Nick’s Point Cartwright (Mooloolaba, Sunshine Coast) wedding was absolutely epic! The bride and bridesmaids got their hair and makeup done in a 2 storey penthouse at the top of Point Cartwright - seriously amazing apartment. The groom and his groomsmen got ready just down the road overlooking the beautiful Mooloolaba canals.
The nerves were building as the wedding ceremony time grew closer. The bride and groom had so many of their family and friends (many hailing from Melbourne) with them, supporting them, loving them, uplifting them - what an awesome tribe!
The arbour was absolutely on point. The flowers were designed by the Sunshine Coast’s one and only Willow Bud and looked so stunning on the triangular arbour!
Ellie and Nick’s long time friend was their celebrant for the ceremony so there was a very intimate yet light-hearted vibe present. It was so great to see so many smiles not only from the bride and groom but from every family member and friend in attendance. This bunch were full of LOVE for this fantastic couple!
After the ceremony we took some family photos and a few group shots with our drone. Then we ventured off with the newly married couple and their bridal party across the rocks and beside the Point Cartwright cliffs. We snapped a few photos with the gorgeous bride and groom and Mooloolaba in the background as well as the epic cliff formations. Our trusty drone flew up into the sky again for some more aerial photography.
We then travelled over to Pier 33 in Mooloolaba (Sunshine Coast) where Ellie, Nick and their bridal party made a grand entrance on a yacht. They were so warmly welcomed by all their family and friends when introduced. They quickly moved in to speeches, gourmet food, a hilarious wedding game and an equally hilarious first dance (the photos say it all!).
Dancing ensued after this. The dancing was fuelled by a tambourine that took quite a beating but clearly loved every minute of it. This was one super fun bunch of wedding guests which was reflected perfectly on the dance floor. What a way to top off a brilliant wedding day.
We wish you all the love and happiness possible Ellie and Nick!

OUTRIGGER, CORAL COAST, FIJI WEDDING - Emma & Dylan - SUNSHINE COAST PHOTOGRAPHER
Emma and Dylan chose paradise for their wedding at The Outrigger on the Coral Coast in Fiji. They were joined in Fiji by their tribe of awesomes who hail from the Sunshine Coast, Australia and beyond.
This bride and groom's wedding day was so full of fun from getting ready to dancing at the reception. Both Emma and her bridesmaids along with Dylan and his groomsmen were set for the most fun and meaningful day of their lives - and that's exactly what they had. The party started as soon as they awoke on the morning of the first day of October - their wedding day. The fact that they were in Fiji multiplied the celebratory mood for their wedding in paradise.
The Outrigger in Fiji was a great venue for their wedding day as they were surrounded by the relaxed and super friendly staff who were always willing to help where possible.
The bride and groom both could not hold back their tears as Emma walked down the isle with her Dad. The emotional outpouring was off-the-charts beautiful!
Their beach wedding ceremony was so gorgeous with turquoise ocean in front of them and palm trees behind them. The splashes of native Fijian flowers on bamboo structures were stunning too and added to their authentic wedding day in Fiji.
After the wedding ceremony on the Outrigger Fiji beach we took the golf buggies up to the hills which were a completely different feel to the ceremony. There were epic beach views on one side and rolling green hills on the other - spectacular and so perfect for bridal party portraits. Then we headed back down the hill to the beach for sunset photos with the bridal party followed by just the bride and groom.
The reception then kicked on with a traditional Fijian dinner and dessert buffet which we got to partake in - AHH-MAZING. The speeches were equal parts hilarious and tear-inducing. After the speeches the dancing (& singing!) began and was literally some of the most energetic moves and vocals we have ever seen at a wedding (& we've been to a few!). Major props to the groom's sister Jess for getting the guests shaking, moving, grooving and singing their lungs out.
The following day we joined the bride and groom for a beach trash the dress session which you will find on our blog very soon - stay tuned.
We want to say a big thank you to Emma and Dylan who took us over to Fiji in their suitcase so we could photograph the most special day of the lives. We loved every minute of it!
We wish you both all the love and happiness in the world!!!
Enjoy...
