Lana and Drew’s wedding was at the Luxurious Sunshine Coast boating venue, Pier 33 and what an amazing day it was.
This awesome bride and groom spent the getting ready part of their wedding day in the same house (Mooloolaba, Sunshine Coast) but different sections of it so they didn’t see each other before the ceremony. The house was an architect and art lover’s dream featuring a light-filled loft, a magazine cover worthy pool and a beautiful piece of art by Jai Vasicek.
Drew and his groomsmen enjoyed a very cruisy pre-ceremony together with some beers and plenty of laughs.
Lana and her bridesmaids barely stopped laughing the entire time we were there documenting their getting ready events. The champagne was flowing, spirits were high and good vibes inevitable in anticipation of the impending wedding.
The bride and her tribe we transported to the wedding venue in a close friend’s boat along the Mooloolaba River to Pier 33. When the boat arrived, all the wedding guests were asked to turn the opposite way to the bride so no one saw her before walking down the isle. This was so well orchestrated by Danielle, the celebrant.
It was a beautiful moment when Lana walked down her wedding isle towards her groom looking absolutely stunning! The ceremony was so lovely and naturally for this couple, full of loads of smiles and laughter. Their love, undeniable.
Post wedding we whisked the bride and groom and their bridal party down to the docks for some shots amongst the boats. Meanwhile, I (Jesse) nearly lost my drone due to the gale force winds that suddenly appeared!
We then headed down to the beach where the wind was furious but the happiness and lightheartedness of the bride, groom and their bridal party rose well above the weather conditions. Oh and do take note of Drew, the groom, literally chopping of the top of a champagne bottle with a knife!
The bride and groom enjoyed a rapturous reception entrance into Pier 33 by their family and friends. There were speeches throughout the night that were a-laugh-a-second along with not just gourmet but SERIOUSLY gourmet food by the Pier 33 chefs. Drew also wanted a magician at his wedding so that’s what he got - Nickleby. He was such a major highlight of this wedding reception. The guests were in stiches as well as in complete disbelief at the tricks Nickleby was performing. Highly recommend him!
To round the night off there was a cutting of the cake, first dance then some dancefloor shenanigans.
What a day and what a night for these two fantastic humans!
Congratulations again Lana and Drew, we wish you all the love, laughter and happiness in the world!
Enjoy…

Maleny Retreat Wedding - Sunshine Coast, Australian Destination Photographers - Martina & Aaron
Martina and Aaron, two super kind souls, hosted their wedding with the ones they love dearly at Maleny Retreat. Breathtaking views of the Glasshouse Mountains, rolling hills and expansive grounds are some of the stunning features of this epic wedding venue.
The gorgeous bride and groom skipped many of the typical formalities at a wedding like speeches, a cake cutting and first dance. They asked us to focus on capturing candid moments throught their special day. So there are no getting ready photos and no formalities except for the ceremony which was run by lovely Cassie from Wish Ceremonies.
The ceremony was so sweet, with plenty of tears as the stunning bride was walking down the isle. Thankfully their trusty celebrant Cassie had some tissues to offer!
Martina and Aaron were congratulated by all of their guests after their ceremony then everyone made their way to the festival style reception, under a huge tent. There were games like giant jenga, giant connect four and croquet for the young ones and the young at heart! All the while the epic backdrop of Maleny to the Glasshouse Mountains and all the way to Brisbane was right there for all to enjoy.
Mikala stayed with the guests, capturing candid moments while I took off for a while with the newlyweds to take a few creative portraits around the spectacular Maleny Retreat property. The bride and groom were treated to not only a perfect day for their wedding but also a perfect sunset and evening - the weather was AMAZING.
The night kicked on with great food and wine from the boys at Something For Catering (seriously good food), loads of laughs, selfies and good old fashioned frivolity.
We wish you all the love in the world Martina and Aaron!
Big Love,

Gabbinbar Homestead Destination Wedding - Sunshine Coast Photographer - Isaac & Eunice
Isaac and Eunice were treated to perfect weather at their perfect wedding venue, Gabbinbar Homestead (Toowoomba). The bride and groom’s friends and family travelled from around the world including Singapore, Sydney, Brisbane and many of other places to witness these two beautiful souls marry each other.
To say Gabbinbar Homestead (3 hours from the Sunshine Coast) is grand is an understatement. Gabbinbar is opulent, historic and magical yet still so welcoming, rustic and natural. It is truly a one of a kind wedding venue that is without a doubt one of Australia’s best and most loved.
Eunice got ready in what is one of our favourite rooms in Gabbinbar, the luxurious brides retreat. The curtains, the oversized mirror, the chandelier, the couch - all the details create an absolutely stunning yet relaxed atmosphere which the bride, her bridesmaids and her family all loved being in while preparing for what was an unbelievably memorable day.
Before the wedding ceremony, the bride and groom held a tea ceremony in the Gabbinbar Homestead library (another of our favourite rooms - they’re all amazing rooms though, even the toilets are!). Some of Isaac & Eunice’s family members took turns in sitting on the couch in front of where the now married couple were kneeling. Each time a new family member or two sat on the couch, one of Isaac’s brothers brought a tray over with a tea pot and two tiny clay tea cups. The bride and groom then gave a tiny cup of tea to each person who was sitting in front of them. The couple then received a gift. This was a wonderful family tradition to observe and photograph.
The bride got dressed post tea ceremony, then had some final moments with her bridesmaids and close family members.
Isaac and Eunice’s Nephew was the pageboy and he was looking very dapper in his little outfit. Instead of walking down the ceremony aisle he was sitting in a large toy car which was steered with a remote control by his Mum. This was one very unique way for a pageboy to make his way down the wedding aisle!
The wedding ceremony was so lovely and relaxed. The bride and groom’s vows were said under shade of a stunning tree surrounded by all their loved ones.
After all the formalities of signing their marriage certificate, being congratulated by all their guests and family photos we took a walk around the Gabbinbar Homestead grounds first taking some bridal party portraits. Then we took some photos just with the bride and groom who were SO much fun to photograph. They’re a playful, thoughtful, kind and happy couple which definitely shines through in the photos taken.
The wedding reception was in a word, magical. The pink candles added an intimate touch to the styling and atmosphere, highlighting the gorgeous flowers and greenery laid out on each table. There was an enormous amount of effort put in to the design and decoration of this beautiful wedding reception.
The now married couple enjoyed some wedding games when they first entered their reception, followed by delicious gourmet meals (which are a guarantee at Gabbinbar Homestead), hilarious and heart felt speeches, cutting of the cake and what was one of the most entertaining first dances I’ve seen to date! These two had a spectacular day with their nearest and dearest friends and family which finished with some let-your-hair-down dance moves. So. Much. FUN.
We wish you all the love in the world Eunice and Isaac!
Enjoy…!

Kingfisher Bay, Fraser Island Destination Wedding - Jennifer & Brenten (Sunshine Coast Photographers)
The rain cleared just in time for this lovely bride and groom's Fraser Island destination wedding at Kingfisher Bay Resort.
Jenny and Brenten regularly camp at Fraser Island with their friends so this was the perfect choice for their wedding day. Brenten and his groomsmen enjoyed some fishing off the pier while Jenny and her bridesmaids were getting their hair and makeup done.
The bride and groom's ceremony was so serene and absolutely beautiful. The love in Brenten's eyes for his bride was so special to witness and to photograph for them to keep forever.
The bridal party and I took off into the Fraser Island bushland for some photos before taking just the bride and groom along the beach for some couple portraits. We then hit the pier for a few drone photos followed by some stunning sunset images. Jenny and Brenten were treated to an awesome romantic sunset for the very first evening as a married couple.
Celebrations kicked on in the dingo den with speeches, a wedding buffet, cake cutting and a gorgeous moonlit first dance. Once this rad bunch got to dancing on the first dance floor they all showed their twirling skills off. I've never photographed a wedding where so many twirls occurred within such a short space of time - it must have been a guinness world record... surely! Love your work family and friends - and of course the bride and groom!
I wish you a lifetime of absolute love and happiness Jenny and Brenten :)
Enjoy!
