Our drone has received quite a workout this year at the weddings we’ve photographed across the Sunshine Coast - Noosa, Maleny, Montville, Mapleton, Caloundra, Nambour, Yandina, Valdora, Obi Obi, Maroochydore, Mooloolaba, Kawana, Point Cartwright, Point Arkwright, Coolum, Beerwah and more. But our trusty drone also travelled to Villa Botanica (Airlie Beach, The Whitsundays), Ireland, Portugal, London, Hong Kong and Melbourne.
We want to thank all the brides and grooms, bridesmaids, groomsmen, friends, family and randoms who trusted us as photographers and also who laid down on sand, grass, wood, rocks, pebbles, bridges, piers, boats, roads and dance floors to get THAT shot. We certainly have a lot of fun during the drone wedding and engagement photo sessions but also ironically our brides and grooms often comment that it was the most relaxing part of their wedding day.
Needless to say our trusty sidekick drone is taking some well earned R&R over the Christmas and New Year break.
Please enjoy some of our favourite drone moments captured at some stunning venues and locations around the world featuring some gorgeous newlyweds.
Merry Christmas and a super Happy New Year to you!
Big love,
Jesse & Mikala X

DRONE PORTRAITS: BEST OF 2017 - Sunshine Coast, Australian Wedding Photographers
Our drone, our trusty little droney, has become one of our favourite tools as wedding photographers. We get to fly above the trees, the sand, the ocean, the ceremony and take photos. In 2017 our drone work has really come into its own.
We've been able to utilise our drone photography for weddings, elopements and engagements all around the Sunshine Coast, including Noosa Heads and Noosa River, Maleny, Montville, Mapleton and all around the stunning Sunshine Coast Hinterland, Mooloolaba, Maroochydore, Yandina, Coolum, Point Arkwright, Point Cartwright, Brisbane, The Gold Coast, Fraser Island and many more places in Queensland and Australia and even over in tropical Fiji.
The drone allows us to give the brides and grooms (and families) we work with a completely fresh and epic, aerial perspective of their wedding day. We get to document and photograph their weddings in a way like no other. The drone perspective is unique, creative, mesmerising and most definitely allows us to produce photos they will cherish forever.
Please enjoy our favourite drone photos from the year that was, 2017.
We look forward to capturing many more spectacular epic, aerial drone photos in 2018!
See you next year...

Noosa Riverdeck Wedding, Sunshine Coast Photographers - Natalie & Kallan
Oh what an amazing wedding day for this fun-loving bride and groom at Noosa Riverdeck on the one and only Noosa River.
There were so many tears shed before Natalie and Kallan had even seen each other for the first time on the Noosa Riverdeck helipad. The entrance by Natalie and her mum to the ceremony was soooo emotional, Mikala and I had tears welling up in our eyes! The Noosa River ceremony was so beautiful with more tears and a tonne of laughter from all who were invited to witness this momentus event. This bride and groom clearly make an absolutely fantastic duo.
After family photos on the Noosa Riverdeck helipad we jumped on a bus with the bridal party. We b-lined over to Noosa's gem Hidden Grove and Main Beach for some bridal party portraits and some romantic couple portraits with the newlyweds. The sunset Noosa produced for the married couple's first evening together was incredible! You couldn't dream of a more beautiful sunset - thank you Noosa!
The wedding evening kicked on with delicious food and drinks at Noosa Riverdeck accompanied by some awesome tunes by Matt Boylan-Smith.
This day was such an amazing celebration for two loved and very in-love humans.
All the love and happiness to you Natalie & Kallan!
Enjoy...

PS. The groom left one of his groomsmen's pair of pants back in Bli Bli. So Kallan and his groomsman drove all the way back to Bli Bli together to get the missing pants. This is why the groom is missing from all of his getting ready photos. But his other groomsmen did a pretty awesome job of showing off his outfit to the camera :)
